“In 2008, we were looking for a custom designed mobile kitchen to meet our mass feeding needs for U.S. Disaster Relief. The design of the kitchen was critical to us, so we submitted our blueprints and combined them with James Williams’, owner of Custom Concessions, ideas to come up with a mobile kitchen that we are incredibly pleased with! The mobile kitchen we affectionately call “MK1” has the capacity to feed up to 2,000 meals per day. Having a design that is effective, meets health department regulations and is “self-contained” (everything we need to provide life-sustaining meals during a disaster is “on board” including power and water) is absolutely critical to our operations. MK1 not only meets our operational needs but also meets our standard of excellence – providing a stunning unit with stainless steel throughout and our branding beautifully displayed on the exterior. One of the deciding points of choosing Custom Concessions was their ability to provide service for “MK1” 24/7 and they have stood by their word. When we have needed service during the “off hours,” they have been there to provide it directly or give us assistance over the phone.
